Attached is my initial design for your board.
6’6″ x 21 3/4″ x 2 9/16″ x 41.5 ltr
So just going off the info you have given me; it’s a modern fish shape, to be set up as a thruster. Low rocker suited to mellow waves in the waist to shoulder high range.
You said you wanted to be 40+ Litres so I’ve come a bit shorter than the other boards you ride at 6’6″ but kept the volume up at 41.5 ltrs.
Wide point is slightly forward to give you volume and width under your chest when paddling, and aid catching waves. Also works to give you drive under that front foot when up and riding.
Bottom Contours:
Single concave under the front foot to help with that wide area and channel the water towards the back half of the board, again giving you good drive and hold. That feeds into a double concave which eventually breaks into a spiral vee out through the tail. The vee in the tail will help with rail to rail transitions and the double concave works to continue that drive and hold whilst organising the water flow out through the tail, for speed.
The idea is to create a board that floats and paddles well, yet is maneuverable.
The rails are fairly full, but refined enough to give you best of both worlds between stability and maneuverability.
Have a look at the attachments and let me know your thoughts. Easy enough to make changes at this stage.
