Hej Mads, very nice page!
But it might lead to even more crowds as You are marking the featured spots on the maps. We have started to feature less known locations in a way that doesn´t give too much information about where the spots are situated. Those google earth maps are a nice thing, but think about using them less. That S2S campagne shouldn´t be started again.

Hey guys, I understand your point abouth the google pictures, it´s a classic situation abouth keeping the spots secret to keep the surf less crouded, but i dont really share that filosofi.. In my opinnion waves are for ewerybody to enjoy. In Denmark, surfing is still a wery little sport, there are no crowds if you ask me, 90% of the times i go surfing in DK I´m only with a few friends in the water. I like the lifestyle and i like meeting people who share the same passion, if I cant share that passion with others because my ego is to big, then I have a „real“ problem!

Anyway I´m glad that you like the site..

Hej Mads,
I share your opinion about sharing the spots. And I´m not at all supporting any kind of localism. And I´m not talking about Hvide Sande and Noerre Vorupoer.
But there is more spots that are more vulnerable to overcrowding due to their narrow take off zones, especially when people don´t know about lineup etiquettes. This is not only a pain in the ass, when somebody drops in on you. It can also get dangerous, especially when you take off close to a stone jetty.
The point is: the people who know enough about surfing to make them comfortable lineup companions also know where and when to go. For them it´s enough to see pics and read stories. They will find the places anyhow.
But then there is the mass of people who just started, many of them mainly following a fashion without having a clue of how to behave in the lineup. They won´t get to „secret“ spots unless you give ´em an accurate description how o get there. But if they come, trouble is only a question of time.
So, it´s not about sharing a passion, but about keeping it a passion.
And I didn´t mean to offend You. I just wanted to put that perspective into dicussion.
Ride some waves for us! Is it good at the moment?

Hey Tom, I dont mean to offend you either, I had a nice session this sunday at a „secret spot“ which I´m not going to reveal 😉 but the spots that I have shown on my website are pretty known spot, at the same time they are also some of the best spots on the right day, therefor there can be a crowd like any other well known surfspot. With time I will make a spotguide + guidelines on how to „behave“ in the lineup.. hopefullly som newcommers can learn something from that. I know what you mean when you say that it can be dangerous, but insted of getting pissed off, my advice is to give the beginners some tips insted, this makes it safer for all parts.. A wery important fact that you and I must not forget is that once we were also „anoing“ and dangerous beginners who were following a fasion, the fasion has just gotten bigger…

I havn´t forgot the time, when I was a beginner. The difference is that back then beginners allways were just a few amongst a solid pack of experienced surfers. This way you learned pretty quick how to behave in the lineup and you learned respect.
But now on many summer weekends at the well known spots the beginners hopelessly outnumber the experienced ones because most of them followed the fashion and started more or less the same time. And plenty of them don´t care about the rules that are necessary for a comfortable surf session. They don´t even care about informing themselfes before they go. And especially in Denmark the local crews of experienced surfers are too small to become a regulative factor as they do in established surf nations.
setting up rules is a good idea. I planned to do this for this site too. Maybe we should pin the rules at walls or something like that at the danish spots….
Sunday was southwest swell with south winds. Sweet lefts with offshore winds, eh?
